James Bond Movie Posters

There has always been a high level
of collector interest in original James Bond movie posters. The artwork on many
of them is instantly recognizable and highly sought after by movie poster
aficionados. There are hundreds of different original posters from the 23 Bond
films that have been made in the past 45 years. Many foreign ones are quite
rare.
There are also many reprints,
reproductions, and even fakes and bootlegs, so collectors beware!
In the early 1980's many of the
regular U.S. one sheets were reprinted/reissued by the studio. They appear
rolled and folded and are always showing up on ebay. They look like original
release one sheets to the novice collector (especially because they have
misleading 1960's copyright dates) but there are differences. Even though the
reprints/reissues are full size 27"x41", they do NOT have an NSS stamp on the
back and they do NOT have an NSS number printed on the front. Titles include
Goldfinger, Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Thunderball, etc..

EXTREMELY RARE COMPARED TO A ONE SHEET. In almost flawless condition.
This classic is extremely difficult to find any material for. 30x40's are printed on a very heavy card stock
material. Most 30" x 40"’s feature the same artwork as the one sheet and were
issued rolled. The National Screen Service number is
normally found on the side on the poster, as opposed to the lower bottom as is
the case with one-sheets. VERY difficult to find in Near Mint condition because
the card stock can crease easily. Normally, only a few hundred 30x40's were
printed. Studios have stopped issuing these. Does not need to be backed or
restored.

on the back, it is definitely from 1964. The NSS number on the front is BARELY
discernable as it was very lightly printed to the right of the NSS paragraph. It
can not be seen in the photo and it can BARELY be seen in person.

of this poster from the 1980's are on glossy paper and do NOT have a stamp on
the back, do not have NSS info. on the front, and have the title GOLDFINGER on
the bottom right border in BLOCK TEXT (originals from 1964 DO NOT have this

These fool people all the time!!!
It says on the bottom left corner copyright 1964, but it was really printed in
1980. There is no NSS stamp on the back. The main difference is the big block
letters on the bottom right that say "GOLDFINGER". Originals from 1964 do not
have this block text.

EBAY AUCTION DESCRIPTION:
This is what all you 007 fans have
been waiting for! These are beautiful examples of 2 original UNRESTORED Door
Panel 20"x60" movie posters from the 1964 classic "GOLDFINGER". These do NOT
show up very often in ANY condition. Gently used and well preserved. The "BACK
IN" poster has some minor 1/2" to 3/4" border tears repaired with acid free
removable tape on the back and it has some tape remnants on the front borders.
The "ACTION!" poster just has some minor tape remnants on the borders. These
defects are extremely minor and can easily be fixed by any talented restorer,
however since they are not distracting we suggest leaving them alone. NO MAJOR
DEFECTS!! Graded C8-C9 condition.
It could be years before you see
these for sale again. It has been over 3 years since two door panels like these
were sold on ebay. They really are that rare! This auction is for the two panels
shown of the Masterson girls.
The 2 other panels
not included feature James Bond and Pussy Galore and one says JAMES and the
other says BOND, so when displayed together they say "JAMES BOND BACK IN
ACTION!".
DOOR PANELS ARE HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE
AND EXTREMELY RARE! They were issued either alone or in a set for major
productions or special theatre runs. They usually contained their own unique
artwork, normally featuring characters. They were primarily used for display on
theatre entrance doors.
When buying collectibles it is
always wise to buy "the best of the best" as they stand a greater chance of
appreciation. These posters are considered to be within that class and are
definitely INVESTMENT QUALITY.
