There has always been a high level of collector interest in original James Bond movie posters. The artwork on many of them is instantly recognizable and highly sought after by movie poster aficionados. There are hundreds of different original posters from all the Bond films that have been made in the past 45 years. Many foreign ones are quite rare.

There are also many reprints, reproductions, and even fakes and bootlegs, so collectors beware!

In the early 1980's many of the regular U.S. one sheets were reprinted/reissued by the studio. They appear rolled and folded and are always showing up on ebay. They look like original release one sheets to the novice collector (especially because they have misleading 1960's copyright dates) but there are differences. Even though the reprints/reissues are full size 27"x41", they do NOT have an NSS stamp on the back and they do NOT have an NSS number printed on the front. Titles include Goldfinger, Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Thunderball, Diamonds are Forever, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and You Only Live Twice. Most of these reissues have the title in block letters on the lower right, whereas the original release posters do not.

Prior to Linen Backing this poster had a few minor imperfections, some of which may or may not still be visible under extremely close inspection. Not in perfect shape, but still very presentable. 

There was some fold wear, pinholes in the corners and bottom, crossfold separations, a tear in the right border into the image area, a small tear in the left border, and a small tear in the image area. Expertly restored with typical fold line touch up. Very minor cross fold & border repair/restoration. Looks beautiful!! Well preserved.

The rarest of the rare, this set is unbelievably difficult to find and practically NEVER shows up available for sale. Single posters from this set do appear occasionally, but a full set is almost impossible to find.  The last time a complete set sold was at Christie's UK back in 1998. The ULTIMATE for James Bond poster collectors!

Linen backed and restored in March 2010 by Poster Mountain.

JAMES was in C7 condition prior to restoration and had minor tears and small white border chips repaired.

BOND was in C7-C8 condition prior to restoration and had minor tears and small white border chips repaired.

BACK IN was in C8 condition prior to restoration and had minor tears repaired.

ACTION was in C5-C6 condition prior to restoration and had extensive repair all along the left white border and bottom border.

On all four posters there was virtually no (or very minimal) restoration done to the image areas as it wasn't necessary.

They all now appear Near Mint++!

This is what all you 007 fans have been waiting for! These are beautiful examples of 2 original UNRESTORED Door Panel 20"x60" movie posters from the 1964 classic "GOLDFINGER". These do NOT show up very often in ANY condition. Gently used and well preserved. The "BACK IN" poster has some minor 1/2" to 3/4" border tears repaired with acid free removable tape on the back and it has some tape remnants on the front borders. The "ACTION!" poster just has some minor tape remnants on the borders. These defects are extremely minor and can easily be fixed by any talented restorer, however since they are not distracting we suggest leaving them alone. NO MAJOR DEFECTS!! Graded C8-C9 condition.

It could be years before you see these for sale again. It has been over 3 years since two door panels like these were sold on ebay. They really are that rare! This auction is for the two panels shown of the Masterson girls. The 2 other panels not included feature James Bond and Pussy Galore and one says JAMES and the other says BOND, so when displayed together they say "JAMES BOND BACK IN ACTION!".

ebay text: This is a beautiful example of an original 14"x36" U.S. insert movie poster from the classic "THUNDERBALL". These are very difficult to find in any condition! Lightly folded once down the middle, but you can't even tell unless you look at it from the back. It had been framed for awhile so it was stored flat. If you look very close you can see the edges are slightly brighter as they were covered by the frame. A long time can go by without one of these coming up for sale. Graded C8 Excellent Condition. Slight dents at top, some acid free tape on top back (from when it was framed). You will have trouble finding a nicer one. Normally, inserts were printed in far fewer numbers than one sheets making them much rarer. Sometimes they even sell for more than the one sheet. Collectors love them because they can display two of them in the same space as a one sheet. Usually printed on card stock, studios stopped issuing inserts in the early 1980's. If a vintage poster is in terrific unrestored condition like this one (EX C8 or better), many experienced collectors will place a premium on it (when compared to a linen backed/restored one). Most experienced collectors prefer unrestored items to restored ones because they believe they will appreciate more in value. When buying collectibles it is always wise to buy "the best of the best" as they stand a greater chance of appreciation. EXTREMELY RARE COMPARED TO A ONE SHEET. In almost flawless condition. This classic is extremely difficult to find any material for. 30x40's are printed on a very heavy card stock material. Most 30" x 40"’s feature the same artwork as the one sheet and were issued rolled. The National Screen Service number is normally found on the side on the poster, as opposed to the lower bottom as is the case with one-sheets. VERY difficult to find in Near Mint condition because the card stock can crease easily. Normally, only a few hundred 30x40's were printed. Studios have stopped issuing these. Does not need to be backed or restored.
