This classic is extremely difficult to find any material for. 30x40's are printed on a very heavy card stock
material. Most 30" x 40"’s feature the same artwork as the one sheet and were
issued rolled. The National Screen Service number is
normally found on the side on the poster, as opposed to the lower bottom as is
the case with one-sheets. VERY difficult to find in Near Mint condition because
the card stock can crease easily. Normally, only a few hundred 30x40's were
printed. Studios have stopped issuing these. Does not need to be backed or
restored. |

and very rare HORIZONTAL format
American movie poster measuring approx. 41" x 54". Subway sheets are printed on a
thicker paper than one-sheets. Most contain the same artwork as the advance
materials, and are almost always issued as "advances." They are most often found
in subway displays. These posters can be either rolled or folded. Some
collectors like the subway sheet because there are fewer of them released. They
are somewhat large and cumbersome, but because they are printed on a thick
paper, they are more durable. Still used

the most striking posters from the 1930's. For people who appreciate style
and class. This one sheet poster was issued to movie theaters in 1936 to
promote the original release of Chaplin's Masterpiece Modern Times. The
poster was designed and printed by famous Leader Press lithographers. Leader
Press was an elite poster designer for movie theaters who wanted
bold and innovative images. Much stronger than the standard posters, as you
can see from this classic poster. One of the finest Chaplin posters we have
seen. The photos don't do it justice. Typically, original posters on Modern
Times sell upwards of $20,000.
In stunning condition for a 70 year old poster! Linen backed and ready for
framing, measures exactly 42 1/4 x 28 15/16 with linen. |
